_ The 2023 Rachel's Run:
These races and walks raise funds for the Academy of Notre Dame Rachel Morrison Scholarship Fund. This run was done each year around Thanksgiving by Rachel and her friends on her high school cross country course at the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsborough, MA. She and her friends brought cans of food and other non-perishable food items to the run to be distributed to a local food pantry. Now we run to remember Rachel and all funds raised will be used to fund a scholarship fund that has been set up at the Academy of Notre Dame for seniors expecting to pursue a science and/or marine biology degree in college. Rachel was a 4th year PhD student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla CA until her tragic death from a hit and run drunk driver on the night of March 28, 2014 in the city of Del Mar, CA. Regardless of you ability come run with us… You can choose from the walk or the community run (always a spirited and friendly affair) .
