_ The 2023 Sharon Sprint Triathlon:
This is a 'small town' triathlon, limited entires, first timer friendly! It is a charming yet challenging course, offering great views of the New England countryside. Enjoyed by many over the 15 plus years we have been offering the event. Affordable too!!!! Awards to 1st M/F, 1-3 age groups and teams. Post race pizza and refreshments.
Course Information:
We swim the half mile on Mudge Pond - a triangular course.
The bike makes the 12.1 mile circuit on rolling hills between the towns of Lakeville and Sharon. Indian Mtn. Rd, to rt112, to rt41, to West Main (Sharon) to Mudge Pond Rd.
The 4.1 mile run starts with the uphill, second half is downhill and flat. Indian Mtn. Rd, to Long Pond Rd., to Valley Rd., to Mudgetown Rd. and back to Mudge pond Rd. and finish.
Directions:
Sharon town beach is located at the north end of Mudge Pond Road.
The facility offers a changing pavilion, picnic tables, a playground, and a sand beach which is raked daily during the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day).
