"it is with regret that we feel that we need to cancel the duathlon for the safety of our participants. The area around Chaffee Crossing has been growing with new development, which has increased the traffic through the area. Additionally, one of the intersections has changed from giving the cyclists the right of way to being a four-way stop. We do not feel comfortable having cyclist race around the area any more. You registration fee will be refunded.

This duathlon is a 5k run/11.8 mile bike/ 5k run race. The race will be around the roads of Chaffee Crossing with the start/finish in the historic district. Individual participants and relay teams can register. All bikes, except those with motors, can be used In the race. Timing will be done by Jaymax Timing. The proceeds from the race will go to the Reynolds Cancer Support House and the Melanoma Research Foundation. The race is being held by the River Valley Skin Cancer Alliance. Participant medals will be given out this year.
Course Information:
Bike route may be changed or modified due to projected construction on Frontier
There is a crossover between the routes at Fort Chaffee and Taylor. Cyclists will have the right of way. Both will finish up going down Terry to the transition/finish.
