_ The 2022 EOCRC's 5K Hero Hustle and 1 mile Candy Walk:

The Hero Hustle is a fun opportunity to come together and celebrate with friends and family while supporting our community. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Eastern Oklahoma County Resource Center, a non-profit organization created to support those in greatest need in Eastern Oklahoma County.  EOCRC’s Mission is to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those hurting across Eastern Oklahoma County by feeding the hungry while eliminating its causes. Additionally, we strive to serve the needy by providing resources and loving the lonely by sharing Jesus.  ON RACE DAY, we will be collecting NEW SOCK donations to be provided to area students in need for this winter season. Please bring socks of any size to the designated drop-off area of the small pavilion near registration. We appreciate the generosity of our community to help keep students warm this winter. SO... Grab your Heros, friends, your costumes, and some warm socks to donate and register for the 5K Hero Hustle or the 1 mile Candy Walk!  This is a "HAVE FUN" event! THIS IS NOT A TIMED EVENT! Run or walk for fun with your friends! Strollers, wheelchairs, and pets on leashes are all welcome!   Register by October 20th: Participants will receive a Hero Hustle shirt! Register on October 21st to RACE DAY: No shirt guarantee!   Course Map coming soon! Please check back here for the map link!   5K Hero Hustle Info and What Participants Get:  Shirt (ONLY if Registered by Oct. 20!) and Finisher Prize 5K Hustle Route: Paved trails of Choctaw Creek Park 5K Hustle Start Time: 9:00 am   1 Mile Candy Walk Info and What Participants Get:  Shirt (ONLY if Registered by Oct. 20!) and Finisher Prize Candy Walk Route: Paved inner circle of Choctaw Creek Park Candy Walk Start Time: 9:15 am   RACE DAY Shirt PICK UP: LOCATION: Large Pavilion of Choctaw Creek Park (Follow the signs!) TIME: 8:00am - 9:00am   Race Pricing: YOU CHOOSE 5K or 1 mile Candy Walk!  Price is determined by participant age. 17 years and under: $10 per participant 18 and over: $20 per participant OR, just bring your own seat to sit anywhere along the trail and support your friends! The Hero Hustle is open to anyone!  If you are not a walker or a runner, you are welcome to register as such, purchase a shirt and just pick a spot along the trail to support your fellow runners.  This is a day to celebrate the benefit of having our EOC Resource Center available to our neighbors in need.  So get your Hero Costume and join us for a fun morning!  BE SAFE. Be sure to hang around after the run/walk for AWARDS: Ceremony will be 10 am at the large pavilion. The top male and female 5K runners will receive a special prize. BEST COSTUME awards given to best-dressed male, female, kids and pets!  Refund Policy: Since the Hero Hustle has many upfront costs, we have a policy of no refunds or no deferrals to a future year. We do understand that plans change, injuries happen, and various situations arise, but, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy to all. Refunds will not be issued based on weather conditions or pandemics. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
