_The 2022 Naticook Challenge 5K Obstacle Course Race:
Merrimack Parks & Recreation is excited to announce that we are doing it again and hosting the third Annual Naticook Challenge Obstacle Course Race 5k.
If you are new to this, you may be asking yourself, what is an obstacle course race? Well its a trail based race that involves challenges for the other parts of your body (crawling, climbing, or hanging for examples). Don't let this scare you away, our obstacles are designed with beginners in mind and are achievable by most people, even kids.
The course is a 5k distance and includes 8 or more beginner to intermediate level obstacles. There are obstacle bypass exercises available if unable to complete an obstacle. Racers will not encounter any water obstacles or crossings but will be on a mix of trails and varied terrain with rapid elevation change as they complete a total of 5 kilometers.
