_ The 2022 Strides for STEM (formally NC DNA Day 5K):
The Strides for STEM 5K (previously NC DNA Day 5K) is a run/walk event supporting Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) outreach in North Carolina. Funds raised will support outreach programs including North Carolina DNA Day and the WinSPIRE Summer Research Program. These programs break down barriers that surround STEM-based careers by allowing high school students to directly interact with STEM professions from leading research institutions in North Carolina. Details:
- Registration is required: $20 students; $25 non-students
- Kids under 10 are free & don’t need to register
- Registered participants will get a t-shirt & race-day snacks
