_ The 2022 Wallis Sands Triathlon:

This beautiful race along the New Hampshire coast is not to be missed for amazing scenery and a great experience. Athletes rave about the stunning oceanfront views and scenic country roads on the bike and run course. Beginner triathletes will enjoy the flat roads while experienced triathletes will set new PRs! The ocean swim takes place in the Atlantic Ocean off of a beautiful sandy beach.  The Wallis Sands Triathlon is held at Wallis Sands State Park in Rye, New Hampshire.

Post Race:

There will be an awards ceremony with food and refreshments. It is a fun, festive atmosphere for the whole family with a beach and park. Stick around and hang out with your family and fellow triathletes. It is the perfect way to enjoy the day!

Relays:
Relay members are required to hand off the timing chip after each leg of the race. The handoff takes place at their designated bike rack spot only. The cyclist cannot remove the bike from the rack before being tagged by the swimmer. The cyclist cannot tag the runner before re-racking the bike. The overall time for a relay will be the aggregate of times for each of the members.

Timing
Professional chip timing will be provided by All Sports Events. Every athlete and relay team will receive a timing chip to be worn around the ankle. Participants will receive times for swim, bike, run, T1, T2, and finish.

Course Information:

Sprint Swim:
The 1/3 mile ocean swim will follow a triangle route starting and ending on the beach in front of Wallis Sands State Beach concession stand. For your safety and comfort, wetsuits are highly recommended. Sleeveless wetsuits are permitted. The transition area will be a short run up the beach to the parking lot of the State Beach.

Duathlon Run 1:
The 1 mile out and back run course offers sensational ocean views. The one loop course starts north along the coast on Route 1A then turns around returning south along the coast to the transition area.
