Celebrating 10 Years As Michigan’s Only 140.6 Mile, Ultra-Distance Triathlon And The 2022 USAT Ultra-Distance National Championship Event.
140.6 miles: that is what you are up against. Start your challenge with a 2.4 mile swim in crystal-clear Versluis Lake. Then jump on your bike for 112 miles through the rolling countryside of West Michigan. Finish up your day with a full marathon on the closed run course. Do all that and cross the Michigan Titanium finish line… and you’ve earned the right to call yourself a TITAN.
We Also Offer Half And Olympic Distance And Duathlon, Aquabike And Relay Events
Not ready to attempt the Ultra-Distance race? Michigan Titanium, a USAT sanctioned event and 2019 & 2022 Ultra-Distance (Full) Championship, offers multiple options including our Half-distance triathlon and the Olympic distance PLUS Relays, Aquabikes and Duathlons.
Course Information:
Swim
A 1.2 mile loop swim will be in Versluis Lake a very clean and clear lake that does not allow the use of gas motors. The Full Triathlon will be a double loop swim, the Half Triathlon will be a single loop and the Olympic Triathlon will be an out & back. This is a spectator friendly swim. Transition is located in a large paved parking lot adjacent to the park.
Bike
The Bike will leave the park on Northland drive and quickly turn on Cannonsburg Rd, generally heading east and back with a loop course. The Full Tri will be a double loop 112 mile bike, the Half Tri will be a single loop 56 miles, and the olympic will be an out & back of 24.8 miles. Following transition back at Versluis Park, the run will head south on Northland Drive to Grand River Ave.
Run
The out & back run course will go through Plainfield and Ada, remaining east of the Beltline. The Full Tri is a 4 lap course of 26.2 marathon distance, the Half Tri will be two lap at 13.1 miles and the olympic is a single lap of 6.2 miles. The finish line is located at the drive into Versluis Park.
Directions:
Athletes will park at Northview High School in Plainfield Township and shuttle to the race site at Versluis Park.
