_The 2022 Jadon's Hope Bug Run 5K/10K:

The 10th annual Jadon’s Hope BUG Run/Walk is going to be in person in 2022!!  Our mission is to support the Jadon's Hope Foundation and honor the lives of all SMA Warriors and Angels.

5K, 10K, Bitty Bug Run, or Virtual if you choose!!

Medals will be given for all 10K finishers!!!  Plus medals for top 3 in each age group for both the 5K and 10K!

The 10th Annual Jadon’s Hope Bug Run/Walk is on a quest to find a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Jadon, a 7th grade student at Oregon Trail Middle School and formerly at Rolling Ridge Elementary, has been living with SMA since he was born. Please join us as “We Run to End SMA” and support “The Bug” aka Jadon.

Jadon Burks; aka “The BUG” was diagnosed with the terminal disease Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) on his 2 month Birthday. The news was overwhelming (to say the least) and while Jadon’s parents, Tony and Kristin, felt hopeless they were surrounded by incredible people, given good information, and became a part of an amazing “SMA family”. While they battle this disease daily they hope to help others facing this seemingly devastating diagnosis. Jadon’s Hope was formed to make an impact in the fight against SMA and to help families “Dance in the Rain”.

Our Mission: Jadon’s Hope Foundation strives to promote educational awareness and fund research efforts for Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the #1 genetic killer of infants under the age of two, while also providing support for families affected by terminal childhood diseases.

Of course we will continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our community, participants, volunteers, sponsors, and planning committee. While we look forward to seeing everyone at the BUG Run this year and are planning on an in person event, we will be diligent and keep our eyes on how everything is looking as we get closer to the event and throughout planning.   We will strive to bring you the most enjoyable experience and bring more awareness to SMA and continue to support the Jadon’s Hope Foundation.  As you can imagine needs are higher than ever.  We hope to bring you much joy and Hope in celebrating the lives of all SMA Warriors and Angels while continuing to support the mission of the Jadon's Hope Foundation.
