_ The 18th Sandia Snowshoe Race:
Join us for the 18th Sandia Snowshoe Race, presented by the Friends of the Sandia Mountains (FOSM) on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
After having to take a break in 2021 like so many due to Covid, we are looking forward to seeing you at the new and simplified Sandia Snowshoe Race.
The race will begin at 10:00 am at the lower-level parking lot at Sandia Crest and is a 5K tour of the beautiful trails in the Cibola National Forest.The event is limited to 175 participants, ages 13 and older; racers of all levels are welcome. This race has filled up quickly in the past, there won't be any race day registrations. Make sure to register early and don’t miss out on the fun!
Please plan to carpool to the Crest on race day since parking is limited.
Registration fee of $25 includes refreshments, the required parking fee at the Crest and the processing fee; no refunds. All proceeds go to the Friends of the Sandia Mountains for preservation and maintenance of trails as well as other US Forest Service resources.
