Wilson Endurance Sports announcement re: Hudson Valley Triathlon Club (HVTC) Summer Tri Series.  January 23, 2021

We are extremely disappointed to pass along the following information.

We have received emails from New York State Parks and Recreation and confirmed with phone calls to the management of Kenneth L. Wilson State Park in Mt. Tremper that the State has already made the decision to deny any permits for events within their parks in 2021 due to the corona virus. 

We of course will be deferring all registrants to 2022 automatically.

The encouraging news is that we were able to hold 9 events of our scheduled 22 in 2020 and feel that with the protocols we have implemented we will be allowed to proceed again this year at various local venues.

Our race season begins in May and we will closely monitor the pandemic situation and, along with the local municipalities, make decisions on a race by race basis moving forward.  As other races are given the go-ahead by local authorities you will be able to transfer your paid registration to another Wilson Endurance Sports event if you so desire.

Although this decision is completely out of our control our main concern has been, and will remain, the health and safety of our participants, the communities and the volunteers surrounding our events. 

Please know that we are deeply saddened to not be able to, once again, celebrate the 20th year of this great club and enjoy the camaraderie and racing  that has been such a highlight for 19 years strong.  We wish you well; please stay safe and if there has ever been a time or reason to continue training to keep your body and mind fit and focused it is now!  If we can do anything to assist you during this time please feel free to reach out to us at the contact information below.
