A Sprint Triathlon with a half mile swim, 16 mile road bike and 3 mile run, plus a Super Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon. All races taking place at Rancho Seco Park in Herald, CA.

The Performance Sprint & Super Sprint Triathlon/Duathlon

The Performance Sprint & Super Sprint Triathlon/Duathlon will take place at Rancho Seco Park in Herald.  

The Sprint Triathlon will feature a half mile swim lake swim, a 16 mile road bike, and a 3 mile trail run.

The Super Sprint Triathlon will feature a 200 yard swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run and the Super Sprint Duathlon having a 1 mile run to replace the swim.  

Commemorative race t-shirts are available for $15 when ordered by September 6th. 

Course Description: 

Swim 

The race starts from the beach at Rancho Seco Lake with a half mile or 400 yard swim. The courses will be a marked by large white triangular buoys and round orange buoys. Water temperature should be approximately 74degrees. Wetsuits are optional. 

Bike

The 16 mile and 4 mile bike course are on roads. The 16 mile bike course will be open to traffic. There are no aid stations on either bike course. Water and FLUID Electrolyte Beverage, along with Hammer Energy gels will be available in the transition area.

Run

The run courses leaves transition and start on grass before transitioning to dirt roads. The out and back course has aid stations that will be stocked with water, FLUID Electrolyte and Hammer Energy gels. ALL athletes must wear their race number on the front of their body during the run and have it when crossing the finish line.

Transition Area

The Transition area will be on a first-come basis, with the exception of Reserved Bike Racks for TRI Clubs. The transition area at all TBF Racing events is for athletes only. All non-athletes must remain outside of the transition area at all times on race day. Bodymarking will be take place at the entrance to the transition area and must be completed before you enter the transition area. Athletes will have their race number marked on their legs and arms and have their age division on their calf. Glass or bottles are not allowed in the transition area.

Refund and Transfer Information

TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all of our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held Rain or Shine.
