Adventure Race : 1 Mile Cross Country Adventure Race for 2 (Adult/Kid or Kid/Kid) |

WHAT: Patterned after the popular television show, teams of 2 will race around a 1 mile cross country course that includes up to 8 fun-filled stations. The clues provided at each station directs the team to perform a task, either together or be a single member, before proceeding to the next station. The tasks will include games, relays, obstacle courses and more. The team that completes the tasks and reaches the finish line with the fastest overall time is declared the winner. Contestants should be prepared to get a little dirty and wet - it's part of the fun! The race is for everyone boys and girls runners, joggers and walkers - pee wees to adults.
WHO: The race is designed for teams of 2 (adult/kid or kid/kid), at least of the members must be student in grade K-12. Teams can choose recreation race at 1:00 pm (those who prefer to go at a leisure pace) or the competitive race at 2:30 pm (those who are more physically active).
RACE AWARDS: Every participant who crosses the finish line gets an award to recognize their accomplishment. Medals are presented to the fastest teams for each race. Special recognition is given to the winners of each division (determined by grade of youngest team member): Elementary: Grades K-4, Middies: Grades 5-8, High School: Grades 9-12. The awards will be presented at the main stage, shortly after each race.
