_ The 2021 Jackson County Brevet:
WHY THIS EVENT?
Aplastic Anemia (AA) is a very rare and deadly bone marrow failure disease and receives almost no funding for research. The treatment has not changed since 1986; this is unacceptable. Children 15 years old and younger account for 95% of all diagnosis of AA.
"This disease can take my bride Kelly at any time; I can't sit by and do nothing. I need your help to give Kelly and others with AA a fighting chance."
- Indoor restrooms at start/finish venue
- After-ride meal (smorgasbord of choices)
- Park at the venue... not around the corner
- Rest stops (every 18 miles avg.)
- SAG vehicles on all routes
- The BEST MARKED routes... period
Experience the rolling/flat terrain of Jackson County where traffic is NOT an issue and benefit from 35 years of century ride experiences that formed this premier event.
All net proceeds donated to THE KELLY WILHITE APLASTIC ANEMIA RESEARCH FUND at Emory University. Every penny that goes to this Fund will go DIRECTLY to clinical research.
