_ The 2021 Greensboro Youth Triathlon 7.03 Series - Race 3:
The Greensboro Youth Tri 7.03 Series is a three race series for the promotion and development of youth and junior triathletes. Ages 5 to 19 are welcome and encouraged to participate. These three youth/junior races are based on USA Triathlon’s recommended youth/junior distances per age group.
Race Distances:
16-19 yr old + Relay: 250yd Swim, 3 Loops, 8K (5.1miles), 3 Loop Run, 3K (1.8miles) = 7.03 Miles
13-15yr: 250yd Swim, 8K Cycle, 3K Run (7.03 Miles)
11-12yr: 200yd Swim, 5K Cycle, 2K Run (7.03 kms)
9-10yr: 100yd Swim, 4K Cycle, 1K Run
7-8yr: 50yd Swim, 3K Cycle, 1K Run
5-6yr: 25yd Swim, 2K Cycle, 1K Run
Athlete Development: All races will be preceded by 4 weeks of optional triathlon training by E3:Endurance's Youth & Junior Certified Coach, Matthew Clancy. All participants will learn the fundamentals of swimming, cycling, and running for triathlon, while learning transitioning, pacing, and race strategies.
