_ The 2021 Little River Trail Runs 10 Mile & 7K:

The 14th Annual Little River Trail runs take place on January 19, 2019. We are back to our usual 10 mile and 7km distance options, with the 10 mile starting at 9am, and the 7 kilometer at 9:30am. All races are run on the lovely single track trails at Little River Regional Park. The race is presented and staffed by the TrailHeads, a volunteer group of trail running enthusiasts. Race proceeds benefit Little River Regional Park. Over the last 13 years, our event has resulted in over $93,000 in donations to the Park, as well as donations to Triangle Off Road Cyclists (for trail building in the park) and NC Green Power (for carbon offsets). We've been able to donate more than $100,000 in total! Please help us to continue to support Little River Regional Park and local single track trails.

A special option this year, for those of you who want to run a little more, is to run the 14er: Do the regular 10 mile run, cross the finish line, and head back out to run the 7 kilometer course. 14 miles for our 14th Little River! 14ers should register for the 10 mile race, and then choose the "Run the 14er" option in the add-ons section. Please note that you will receive an official time and results, and be eligible for overall and age group prizes, for the 10 mile run only. There are no regular age group and overall prizes specific to the 14 mile distance -- this is for fun. And perhaps, a random, unicorn-quality prize will find its way to 14er finishers....There is no extra charge for this option.

Please note that race registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. We do allow registered runners to switch between distances (for instance, from 10 mile to 7km); all changes must be made by Friday, January 18. (No race day changes!)

Race shirt sizing is guaranteed for runners who register by December 15, 2018. After that time, you will receive a race shirt, but we may not have your preferred size available.

Note that we also are offering a "bundle" option this year, for runners who want to sign up one time for both Little River, and then for Philosopher's Way (the TrailHeads' other race). That race will be on April 27, 2019, on the trails of Carolina North Forest (in Chapel Hill/Carrboro), with 10 mile and 7 kilometer distances. The bundle option will save you a little $ in registration costs. Please note, again, that this registration is non-transferable: the same runner must run both races (but you have your choice of distances for each).
