THE 40th ANNUAL TETON MOUNTAINEERING CACHE CREEK TO GAME CREEK TRAIL RUN

Race Location:

Cache Creek to Game Creek Trail. Starts in upper lot of Snow King Resort, runs up Cache Creek and down Game Creek,  Typically, we had out the awards at Game Creek and bus you back.  We are working out the safest way to do that.  Many of may choice to have rides bring you back.  And when picking up race bibs at the store of morning off at the start line, just be mindful of what health and distancing regulations may still be in place.  This event will be chip timed so we are able to stage you apart at the start and tabulate overall course times.  

The Teton Mountaineering Cache Creek Trail Run race covers approximately 11 miles or 18 k in the picturesque Bridger-Teton National Forest. The race begins at 8 am in the upper Snow King Resort’s parking lot. From there the course proceeds east, up Cache Creek, then climbs up Game Creek Divide (elev. 7,400 ft.) and down Game Creek to the south and west. Total elevation change is roughly 3,000 feet.

Bib and Packet Pick-Up:

Will only be race morning. You will receive your chipped Bib and finisher medal when you arrive at the race . Bib pick up will be from 7am to 8am .  Make sure you patiently wait 6 feet apart and are masked. This is required for safety measures in the pick up area .  This will take place race morning in the upper parking lot behind Snow King Resort.

Results:

Course Times will be tabulated by the subtraction of the start mats to the finish mats.  Results will be posted and emailed by 3pm after the event. 

Awards: Top three trophies to Overall males and females. TOP THREE Age Division awards in 10 year age spans. These will be behind the counter at : 

Teton Mountaineering, 170 North Cache, Jackson, WY.  You may pick up your award any time in the next two weeks. Or call and have it mailed to you. 

Age Categories:

18 and under , 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69 , & 70plus.  EVERYONE gets a finisher medal. 

 CUSTOM CAST FINISHER MEDAL to every FINISHER!   Just running that beautiful course is a TROPHY!!!

Runners’ Kits:

Runners clothing bags may be dropped at the start area for pick up at the finish. They can be placed in the black starters truck. Mark them clearly.

Registration:

Because of the need to preserve these lands there is a limit to the number of entries available. Register online. You will be required at packet pick up to sign a release waiver.

Awards:

The awards ceremony will not be held at Game Creek, But Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers. Raffle prizes Will be mailed. Age division awards can be picked up. No Shuttle will be provided to bring runners back to Snow King .  We are asking each of you to  make arrangements to be picked up in Game Creek.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce can help answer questions regarding lodging and the wide variety of recreational
opportunities that Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park and nearby Yellowstone National Park have to offer. (307) 733-3316 Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm MST.

Aid Stations:

2 water stations are provided along the course. However, due to the back country location and rugged nature of this race, racers are encouraged not to depend on these stations as their sole supply of water. Bring your own water bottle or CamelBak to be sure!
Backcountry Etiquette: Runners using food packets, etc. during the race are reminded to carry out all their own trash. Conscientious backcountry travel ensures future access for all of us who enjoy the National Forest Service lands.
