Deferrals

To Defer Your Entry From 2020 to 2021

  • Go To BikeSignUp.com and click on the down arrow next to the runner icon in the upper right corner of the page
  • Select Log In
  • Enter your E-mail and RunSignUp Password then click the Sign In box
  • Again, click the down arrow next to the runner icon in the upper right corner of the page
  • Select Profile
  • Scroll down to view your Upcoming Events
  • Click Manage Registration to the right of your Marathon or Half Marathon event (30 Jun 2019)
  • Click the Defer Registration menu option from the column to the left of your registration information

The cost to defer your entry from 2020 to 2021 is $0 plus a $2.50 credit card fee.

Participants are allowed to make a single year-to-year deferral per entry. Deferring for multiple years in a row is not permitted. Deadline 7/27

Event Transfer (Change Distance)

To Change Your Entry From One Race To Another

  • Go To BikeSignUp and click on the down arrow next to the runner icon in the upper right corner of the page
  • Select Log In
  • Enter your E-mail and BikeSignUp Password then click the Sign In box
  • Again, click the down arrow next to the runner icon in the upper right corner of the page
  • Select Profile
  • Scroll down to view your Upcoming Events
  • Click Manage Registration
  • Click the Transfer Event menu option from the column to the left of your registration information

The cost to change your event is $25 plus a $2.50 credit card fee plus the difference if the new event is more expensive. Deadline 7/27

Transfer Your Entry To Another Rider  

  • Go To BikeSignUp and click on the down arrow next to the runner icon in the upper right corner of the page
  • Select Log In
  • Enter your E-mail and RunSignUp Password then click the Sign In box
  • Again, click the down arrow next to the runner icon in the upper right corner of the page
  • Select Profile
  • Scroll down to view your Upcoming Events
  • Click Manage Registration
  • Click the Transfer To Another Runner menu option from the column to the left of your registration information
  • Enter recipients information (First Name, Last Name, E-mail Address)
  • Click on the Transfer As Gift buttonThe recipient will receive an email providing a code to use to register for the race.The recipient must enter the same event in which you were entered.
  • Once the recipient redeems the code and enters the race, your entry will be deleted from the registration system.
  • Should the recipient not redeem the code, you may still use this race registration.

The cost to transfer entry to another rider is $25 plus a $2.50 credit card fee. Deadline 7/27

Wait list

As soon as an event fills, a wait list will managed and can be joined for no cost. As spots become available, invitations will be sent to those on the wait list in a first come first serve basis. If chosen, the invitation to register will be active for three days before expiring and moving to the next person on the wait list. 

Course  2020

The course will have the start/ finish just off the main plaza at Grand Targhee Resort. The course will be marked with blue directional arrows and course tape, starting July  27th. The course is 31 miles long first lap with estimate of 3600’of climbing 1st lap. 

100 mile racers 1st lap/26 miles and 3411'climbing- A new course layout for 2020 updated 6/30/20-  Start just off the main plaza area and ride up Powder Reserve Traverse Road turn right on to Yada yada yada trail turn right on to Andy's and back to the base area and feed zone #1 on Planet Claire trail. After the feed zone, you’ll head out on Greenhorn trail to The Core trail around to Roundabout Trail to the Targhee base area. Ride mtn service road around base area and past the bottom of the Shoshone lift and continue up Yogi trail. Go left on the Nordic trail road and left on to Pika trail turn right on to Rick's Basin trail and out to Quakie ridge trail. Climb back out on Rick's Basin and up to turn left on The other one trail ( water station location) Ride The Other one trail clockwise and back up to turn left on to Perma-grin trail.  Climb Perma-grin trail up to More Cow Bell.On to Tall Cool One  connector and climb. This climb will go up to the top of the mtn and turn left on to the upper section of Teton Vista Traverse service road to the top of Fred's mtn. From there start descending down Grand Traverse ( blue downhill trail) to Sidewinder downhill trail all the way back down to the base and the lower bike park trails.You'll come off the end of Sidewinder and on to a flow trail called Otter Slide and back to the Start/ Finish line to Start the second and third laps

Race lap 50 K and 100 K racers, Laps 23 of 100 mile race 3781' of climbing 31 miles/ Ride out Powder Reserve Traverse Road, Left on to Peaked Trail, Climb Peaked around Ain't Life Grand and over to 38 Special Trail.  Descend 38 Special Trail and climb Colter's Escape trail back up to Andy's and over to Buffalo Soldier around to Action Jackson. Turn right off Action Jackson and climb up Yada trail to Andy's and back to the base area and feed zone #1 on Planet Claire trail. After the feed zone, you’ll head out on Greenhorn trail to The Core trail around to Roundabout Trail to the Targhee base area. Ride mtn service road around base area and past the bottom of the Shoshone lift and continue up Yogi trail. Go left on the Nordic trail road and left on to Pika trail turn right on to Rick's Basin trail and out to Quakie ridge trail. Aid Stations

There will be 2 feed zones along the course and 2 water stations The water stations are at the bottom of 38 Special trail ( mile 7.8 in the lap), The start of The Other one trail (mile 24.9 in the lap) There will also be a water aid for the 100 Mile racers at the top of Fred's Mtn ( top of the main chairlift)

Aid #1@ 16 miles on first lap/16.4 on laps 2-3 and is located at the end of Planet Claire trail in the main parking lot

Aid #2 just after start / finish a long the service road climb @ mile 31 of a full lap. Racers can drop off coolers and bags at each aid zone before they race. Both Aid Stations are only a few hundred feet from the start /finish

Food @ Aid Stations- Hammer products-drinks and gels, Water, Peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches, chips, cookies, Bananas, Watermelon, pickles, candy

Bike wash is located by the top of the music venue just before the start/ finish line.

Racers check in -

Racer info and check in will be held at Grand Targhee RCR South room (upstairs in main base lodge building) at 4:00pm-6:30pm on Friday, July 31st. Racers will receive bike plates, timing chip and swag bags along with answering any questions regarding the course and race. Any racers who can’t make the Friday check in will be able to pick up plates Saturday morning 5:45am- 6:45am (100 mile) upstairs in RCR South (upstairs in main base lodge building)

100k and 50km race can check in Saturday am from 6:30am. RCR South room (upstairs in main base lodge building)

All racers must start in their listed start time or risk being DQed.

The cut off times

Cut off for racers to start their last lap will be TBD and must be past the first aid station by no later than 6:00pm Buckle winner times will be tbd for men/women.

After race dinner

A dinner will be server in the racer tent, free for all racers. Racers will family can purchase additional dinner tickets for $15 at the dinner line. Food will be served from 12:00 -7:00pm

Camping

Camping will be available at Grand Targhee in the lower parking area. Camping is available Thursday-Sunday for $28 per camp site for the event. All dogs must be on a leash in the camping area and around the race course during the race. Tent and RV are the same price. Showers are included, kids 18 and under camp for free, purchase online or at the Lodging Front Desk. The shower trailer will be located in the lower parking lot by the tree island
