YOUTH Duathlon - (ages 5-17)
Can you run and ride a bike? Are you looking for a new challenge? We will have different distances for each age group. Course this year will be in the beautiful Fort Trumbull neighborhood on the water! This is a family friendly event where we encourage all abilities to enter and complete the course. Timing splits will be recorded for all 5 areas and medals will be awarded to every finisher. Music and food will follow. This year we will have food trucks onsite. Everyone will run and bike on closed roads/trails. All biking is done on paved roads. Training wheels can be used. Helmets are required for all. One time $10 USAT membership will be added at checkout if you are not already a USAT member. Membership covers all USAT events for the year, including Proud to TRI, Norwich Splash and Dash etc.
Divisions:
Age group racing for ages 5-6; 7-8; 9-10; 11-12; 13-14; and 15-17 (must not be 18 by 12/31/19) Awards for age group racing is for the top three places in each age division for males and females. SuperSprint is available for ages 11-17. Awards for the SuperSprint will be for the top three males and females overall. This race is for the athletes that want to go farther than the age group distance.
