_ The 2020 Deer Lake Trail Race:
Yes, it is happening again! Our inaugural event was very successful and we are planning to make 2020 even better! Come to rural Killingworth CT for the Second running (or hiking) of the Deer Lake Trail Run. The challenging four-mile course (involving almost 500 ft of elevation gain!) meanders throughout the 253-acre Deer Lake Scout Camp property and offers many scenic views as you navigate the ever-changing elevations on well-marked trails that span the property. This is a true trail course and the technical nature of the terrain will mean that you will be exposed to rocks, roots, possible mud, etc. There will be awards for male & female winners of numerous age groups as well as the overall male & female winners. T-Shirts guaranteed for the first 100 entrees.
ENTRY FEES
- $25 through June 1st, $30 June 1st - June 25th noon, $35 on race day (cash or check ONLY on race day)
AWARDS:
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners and the m/f winners for each of the following age groups:
- 0 - 12 yrs. (Please note that anyone participating under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult along the entire race course)
- 13-19 yrs.
- 20-29 yrs.
- 30-39 yrs.
- 40-49 yrs.
- 50-59 yrs.
- 60+ yrs.
