New Date: Sunday, August 30, 2020

Because the health of our athletes, volunteers, spectators and vendors are of upmost importance to us and in light of the continuing COVID-19 situation, the Upper Dublin Triathlon/Duathlon/Aquabike organizing committee has made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s race to Sunday, August 30.  While changing the date of this popular regional race may affect some from being able to participate, we hope we will attract an equal number of athletes for whom the May date had not previously worked.  We look forward to marking the end of summer by filling Loch Alsh Avenue with our special brand of community racing.   

Over the course of the next few days, we will be reaching out to athletes, beneficiaries, sponsors and supporters to inform them of the date change.  The race registration page will be temporarily shut down while we work with USAT to change the date of this sanctioned race.  Once registration re-opens, an announcement will be made.

Don't miss out on this early season, USAT-sanctioned race that is a perfect tune-up for experienced athletes as well as a great introduction to the sport for newbies.  We have many race options including a triathlon (individual or relay), duathlon and aquabike.

DISTANCES

• Triathlon - 350 meter Pool Swim, 10.6 Bike & 3.4 mile Run
• Duathlon - 2 mile Run, 10.6 Bike, 3.4 mile Run
• Aquabike - 350 meter Pool Swim, 10.6 mile Bike

Race Registration Deadlines

You must register by 4/24/20 to receive a custom bib. You must register by 5/1/20 to be guaranteed your preferred t-shirt size. Note that race typically sells out before these dates.

Day-Of Timeline

• 5:30 AM TRANSITION AREA OPENS, PACKET PICKUP AND BODY MARKING
• 6:45 AM PACKET PICKUP CLOSES
• 6:45 AM TRANSITION AREA CLOSES
• 7:00 AM NATIONAL ANTHEM
• 7:05 AM PRE-RACE MEETING (mandatory for all athletes)
• 7:25 AM SWIM & DUATHLON START
• 10:30 AM UNOFFICIAL RESULTS POSTED
• 10:45 AM AWARDS CEREMONY

AWARDS

Finisher medal and finisher item for all that complete their respective race.

Triathlon - The following award format is followed:

• Top 3 Overall Male/Female
• Age Groups (3 deep) Male/Female
  • 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+ years old
• Top 3 Clydesdales (Males 220+ lbs)
• Top 3 Athenas (Females 165+ lbs)
• Top 3 Relay Teams (2 or 3 person, non-gender specific)
• Top 3 High School Class Male/Female (currently in 9th to 12th grade)
• Top 3 PC Open Division Male/Female

Duathlon* - The following award format is followed: 

• Top 3 Overall Male/Female
• Age Groups (3 deep) Male/Female
  10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ years old

*If less than 30 finishers, we will only award Top 3 Overall Male/Female for the Duathlon

Aquabike** - The following award format is followed: 

• Top 3 Overall Male/Female

**If more than 30 finishers, we will award age groups in 10 year increments
