_ The 2020 Saint Croix Fat Cat Triathlon:
The St. Croix Fat Cat Triathlon is a Triathlon race in Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota consisting of a Super Sprint.
The St. Croix Fat Cat Triathlon began in 2014 with the intent of showcasing the beautiful Scandia and Marine on St. Croix areas with a day of exercise, food, music and (most importantly) FUN! The St. Croix Fat Cat Triathlon is presented by the Scandia-Marine Lions Club and is 100% run and operated by volunteers. The triathlon raises funds through our incredible sponsors with all proceeds going back to our communities, education, and Lions causes.
The paddle begins at Scandia's Log House Landing mostly downstream on the St. Croix River (National Scenic Riverway) 3.8 miles ending at William O'Brien State Park. From there racers run the State Park trails finishing last 1.5 miles (5.2 miles total) on paved roads to Scandia's Lions Park. The bike leg takes off from and ends at the Lions Park, covering 11 miles of scenic paved road. The paddle is flat, the run has several uphill sections and the bike route has a couple uphills but is mostly rolling with some flat sections.
I-35 to Forest Lake or Hugo, E to Olinda Trail (Wash Cty Rd 3) to Lions Park on E side.
