Athletes will converge on Miami Marine Stadium for a Sprint, Olympic, Aquabike, Duathlon, Triathlon & Aquathlon.
Multirace is proud to partner with Mack Cycle & Fitness. Mack Cycle has been providing great service to cyclists & triathletes for over 57 years. As a USAT certified multisport retailer & GURU bike fitter, Mack Cycle will provide you with everything you need to do your Multirace event.
The athletes will enjoy a protected salt water swim in Key Biscayne with bright buoys beckoning them back to shore. The swim course runs in a clockwise direction. In transition, they will have a spacious setting to prepare for the fast bike through Virginia Key & spectators can cheer on their athletes. The bike course is set against a Miami city skyline & a pristine view of the turquoise waters of Key Biscayne. Cyclists will have an added challenge of climbing the highest point in south Florida, with a 700 meter climb on the William Powell Bridge, commonly referred to as Rickenbacker Causeway Bridge. The Olympic distance athletes will have 2 opportunities to traverse this test, while the sprint distance will conquer this bridge once.
After transition 2, runners will have a relatively shaded run on pavement & trails through the Australian Pines that line Virginia Key. The sprint athletes will complete 1 lap, while the Olympic distance runners will complete two laps. South Florida is just starting to heat up in May, so runners should prepare for & maintain good hydration. The good news is that this run course is flat. Runners will get a nice view of the flora & fauna the park provides, as well as a view of the ocean on the turnaround. Spectators can cheer on the finishers outside the former Miami Marine Stadium.
Miami is known for its celebrations and Multirace keeps it going with a fanfare finish & athlete smorgasbord. Friends, family & music beckons the athletes through the finish line. The Mack Cycle Tri Miami triathlon is a multi-faceted event featuring 2 race distances. With the warm waters of Key Biscayne, the Rickenbacker climb on the bike, & flat run, athletes will have a chance to test their limits on this fast course.
