_ The 4th Annual Officer Daniel Ellis Memorial 5K - NEW DATE:

Join us for the 4th Annual Officer Daniel Ellis Memorial 5K Run/Walk presented by Baptist Health.  The race will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 8:30am at Richmond Centre Mall in Richmond, KY.

We will have commemorative race T-shirts, chip timing, overall & age group awards, DJ and post race food.  This will be a way for the community to celebrate the life and continued legacy of Officer Daniel Ellis.  We are offering a Student Rate for any students 18 years old or younger who run/walk in the 5K in Richmond.  This rate does not apply for our "Virtual Runner/Walker" category.

We've also created a 5 (or more) Person Team Competition.  If you have a team of 5 or more we'll add the top 5 race times for the 5K of your team to compete against other team.  Also the team with the largest number of members will win a prize, so get your team together!

For those living outside of Central Kentucky we offer a "Virtual Runner/Walker" category so that you can run/walk your own 5K on the weekend of April 25th-26th to honor of Officer Ellis and other fallen heroes. 

Proceeds will benefit the Daniel Ellis Foundation which is being established to the family.  This foundation will support and distribute funds to area causes, charities and individuals that Officer Daniel Ellis would have supported.  .

Runners and walkers are welcomed.  Strollers are allowed but no dogs please.
