This is a mountain bike endurance fund raising event!
How many times can you ride up Dyer hill in 2 hours? How about in 4 hours? How about in 6 hours?!
Event details and schedule
Dyer Challenge 13 will begin at 8am. Participants can start to arrive by 7am to register for their number, decide if you want to be on a tag team, stretch, or anything else you might need to do to amp yourself up for this endurance race!
On the day of the race you will be able to decide if you want to do the the three different time slots (2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours) on your own or as part of a 2-3 person tag team.
Parking is anywhere below the hill right next to the soccer fields, there is ample parking. Please bring your hydration gear, because it will get hot out there. We do provide some water, hydration packets, fruits like bananas, oranges and also pb&js (just remember that these are limited).
Proceeds of Dyer Challenge 13 will be used to benefit the programs offered at Jack the Bike Man. These include: Character Counts, Christmas Giveaway, Gotta Get a Bike, Earn a Bike, Bicycle Donations, Bicycle Registration.
Jack the Bike Man, Inc. is a not for profit organization founded by Samuel H. “Jack” Hairston III in 2007, however Jack has been called Jack the Bike Man, since 1999. Throughout the year, Jack the Bike Man gives away thousands of bikes to underprivileged kids, the homeless, people re-entering society from prison, recovering addicts in halfway houses and people living below the poverty line. For more than twenty years now Jack the Bike Man has fixed bikes and handed them out to needy children and adults in the area, especially around the holidays when Jack the Bike Man has its biggest bike give away of the year. All of this is possible only with the help of volunteers and contributions.
