_ The 2020 Bike Around Woman:

This ride is not a race. We encourage a fun, family ride that gets us outside after a long winter. The course takes riders around beautiful Woman Lake and through part of northern Minnesota's Chippewa National Forest.

This is a fun bike ride, purely recreational. It is open to riders of all ages and abilities and is designed to encourage families and friends to enjoy a scenic ride through the beautiful north woods. It is not a timed event or race.
 

Event details and schedule

Registration and Details:

7:30-8:15 AM - Registration at the Stuart Memorial Park pavilion (the Longville shelter house) south of Longville on Highway 84. All riders pick up their event packets and do your stretching exercises.

8:30 AM - Riders check safety equipment, fill water bottles, add any last minute air to your tires and stage for pre-ride instructions and official ride “air horn” start by the official starter.
 

8:45 AM –9:00 AM - Once we are all checked in and lined up, “Bike Around Woman” starts on Highway 84 and continues south to Highway 11. Go right on Highway 11 and continue until you reach the Stop sign at Highway 5. Go right on Highway 5 and return to Longville and Stuart Memorial Park.

• All riders are required to wear bike helmets and either a safety vest or have a flashing light attached to their bike.
• Riders are required to ride on the shoulders, which are paved with no rumble strips. Highway 84 will be closed to through traffic, however riders may encounter vehicular traffic on any of the roads along the course.
• Toward the end of the ride you may encounter walkers from a sister event. When you ride up behind them, they may not hear you coming, so give them a wide berth.
