2020 Utah Lake Olympic Triathlon: - CANCELLED
From The Race Registration Website: Canceled for 2020. See you in 2021!
The Utah Lake Olympic at Lincoln Beach! This is an Olympic ONLY event so no need to worry about other racers doing different distances!
Swim down a long narrow channel. If you are nervous about open water swimming you will feel the comforted knowing that you are never too far from shore. Athletes last year mentioned that the swim seemed to go by very fast for them as they exit the channel and circle around a small triangle out in the bay and return to the channel for the home stretch. The early season open water will also have temperatures in the 60s and there should be no worry about Utah Lake algae blooms that come later in the year due to rising temperatures. Wetsuits are strongly recommended for this early season swim.
One of the best bike rides around. You will love this point to point circumnavigation of West Mountain at the south end of Utah Lake. This ride is flat and fast with long straightaways, and beautiful mountain & lake vistas. Only a few turns on the whole course, prime conditions to really lay it down and see what you are made of. All your winter spinning will pay off on this bike!
Save some of those legs for your PR on this flat out and back course. Run by the West Mountain Orchards, and enjoying the stunning vistas as you power through to the finish. Pass aid stations at mile 1.5, 3.1 and 4.6.
The race is located at the south end of Utah Lake accessed by taking the Spanish Fork exit and going to 4700 Lincoln Beach Rd, Spanish Fork, UT 84660.
