The Cumberland YMCA, Racine MultiSports, Rocky Gap State Park have collaborated to host another fantastic race this summer. We are excited to continue to celebrate health and fitness in our community with this triathlon and duathlon. The run course will be on trail, gravel and paved road. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned racer, both races feature the beautiful scenery throughout the park and surrounding area.
Triathlon - 7:45 am
Swim the first leg of the course is a 0.25 miles swim in Lake Habeeb. The average June water temperature is 65-80 degrees. Wet suits are allowed but NOT provided.
The bike course is approximately 8 miles. You will leave transition from the park and complete the course as an out and back on Pleasant Valley Road. Helmets are required.
The run is approximately a 5K starting from transition, running into the Lakeside Loop Trail to the amphitheatre where it joins with Pleasant Valley Road. The run has parts on a dirt trail and parts on gravel and asphalt.
Duathlon - 7:30 am
The Duathlon will feature the same courses however the first run leg will be the 3rd leg of the triathlon in reverse. Starting from transition and running out the parking lot onto Pleasant Valley Road.
Our transition area is situated in an area that you can view the swim start and finish, the transition into the bike. And its just a quick walk across the beach area to the finish line.
Continue the race festivities and join us for the post race award ceremony and refreshments as we celebrate your accomplishments.
Volunteers from Western Maryland Wheelman, State and Local Police, Baltimore Pike Volunteer Fire Department, Swift Water Rescue Crew and many more will be out marshalling the course to ensure your safety.

Duathlon - 7:30 am

• From Morgantown/Fairmont area take I68 East to Cumberland.
Rocky Gap is located 8 Miles east of Cumberland on I68.
• From the Baltimore/Washington area. Take I70 west to I68 west.
Rocky Gap is 29 Miles from Hancock.
• From the PA area take 220 south to I68 east and continue 5 miles east to Rocky Gap
