_ The 2020 5 Mile Leprechaun Chase and 1 Mile Leprechaun Leap:
St. Patrick's day celebrations make for perfect opportunities to dress up like a crazy Leprechaun and hit the streets running. Come celebrate an early St. Patrick's Day at Ruhe 152 with the 1st annual running of the Leprechaun Chase and Leprechaun Leap on Saturday, March 14, 2020. This race consists of a 5 mile run and a 1 mile run/walk. Participants are encouraged to dress for the occasion in green or a favorite Irish costume. Be the best dressed lad or lass and take home a prize. The 5 mile chase will have a male and female live speedy Leprechaun in the race. If you beat the leprechaun across the finish line, you will win a prize! Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers. However, this is NOT a chip timed event. Strollers are welcome. NO dogs please. Stick around Ruhe 152 post Leprechaun Chase and enjoy Irish music, costume contest, food, giveaways and more!
This event is benefiting the Nappanee Mental Health Task Force. Their mission is to address the mental health needs of the people of Nappanee and the surrounding areas in an effort to ensure the whole health of the community.
Packet pick up will be held Friday March 13, 2020 from 5pm-8pm at Ruhe 152. Packets can also be picked up race morning from 8:00am-9:15am at Ruhe 152. Registration will be available at packet pick up and on race day. Must be registered by March 6, 2020 to be guaranteed a shirt.
