2020 Black Squirrel Scurry Paddling Triathlon - CANCELLED - Virtual Option Available
The Black Squirrel Scurry offers medals to top 3 in age divisions grouped by every 10 years for solo races. 2-3 person relay teams organized by gender (male, female, mixed) also recieve medals to top 3. Special rates for 19 & under. Kayaks or canoes used for paddling portion (SUP not recommended). Further information on our website and Facebook (Black Squirrel Scurry Triathlon). Proceeds benefit Northwoods Veterans Post and Friends of the River Bend Trail.
Course Information:
2 mile paddle down a small, shallow stream. 17.5 mile paved road bike. 5k trail run on mostly grass and crushed gravel. Course takes you through Council Grounds State Park along the Wiscconsin River for some of the bike and run portions.
Directions:
Merrill is located just off of US Hwy 51/I-39 on US Hwy 64. 3 hours north of Madison, 4 hours east of Minn/St Paul, 2 hours west of Green Bay. More detailed directions for transitions located on website.
