_ The 2020 Liberty Freedom Ride:

This ride benefits students at Liberty ISD through classroom grants. Enjoy the scenic countryside 45 minutes from Houston or Beaumont.

Event details and schedule

Our ride:

The Liberty Freedom Ride takes you through the countryside of Liberty County. We are just a stone's throw away from the Houston metro area but we retain the rural roots that brought us this far. Come ride our routes and see fertile farmland with cows and scenic rural areas unspoiled by overdevelopment. This is not a race but a ride.

Schedule:

7AM - Onsite registration/packet pick-up begins

8AM - ALL rides begin 

10AM - 3PM - Food served

4:00PM - course closes

Registration:

Regisiter online at active.com or using the printable registration form. Late registration is available onsite from 7:00AM to 8:00AM. Ride packets can be picked onsite from 7-8AM on Saturday Feb 15. Packets will not be mailed. 

Ride Numbers:

Numbers should be worn so they are visible from the front. SAG assistance will be for numbered riders only. Ride will be held rain or shine.

Course:

All rides begin at the Liberty Center 1829 Sam Houston, Liberty, TX. T All routes have good shoulders rest stops. All routes have rest stops every 8 to 12 miles. All routes end at the Start/finish line at Liberty Center. Map available on our website.

Support:

SAG wagons and support vehicles will be provided. Rest stops will have fresh fruit, cold drinks, water etc. Rest stops will be manned by fun, encouraging people from the area, you won't want to miss them.

 Safety:

Helmets are required. All traffic laws must be obeyed as the roads will not be closed to traffic. Please ride on the shoulder when possible. Drink plenty of fluids before and during the ride. Ride no more than two abreast. No vehicle drafting allowed.

Meal:

A meal will be provided to all riders. Extra meals may be puchased onsite.

Parking:

Free parking is available all over downtown Liberty (535 spaces within 3 blocks of start/finish)

Waiver:

I fully understand that my participation in the Liberty Freedom Ride Bicycle Ride could result in serious injury, illness or death.  Although I fully appreciate these risks, I desire to participate without regard to the consequences.  I waive all claims I may have against the Liberty Freedom Ride Bicycle Ride, The Liberty ISD Education Foundation, the City of Liberty, The County of Liberty, Hardin County or any individual, firm or organization resulting in whole or part from my participation in the Liberty Freedom Ride Bicycle Ride.  This waiver shall be binding on my heirs, administrators and successors.  Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all foregoing to use photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
