11th Annual Frank Shorter RACE4Kids' Health 5k and Expo:

Healthy Learning Paths invites you to spread the power of health at the 11th annual Frank Shorter RACE4Kids' Health 5K and Expo:  Where Science, Engineering & Health Collide. Olympic Gold Medalist Frank Shorter wants you to join the runners, walkers, and crawlers to rally for the health of kids!  Show off your healthy powers and make your BolderBoulder qualifying time.

Enjoy Mazzola's Miracle Fun Run that is just shy of a mile.  Youngest athletes will love running with the Bee at the Applebee's Buzz for ages 3-5 years and Diaper Dash for ages 2 and under. Cool capes for kids while supplies last! Runners enjoy our tradition of high quality long sleeve tech shirts.

Once again we will have the Kids Marathon Challenge! This is a fun way for your students ages 14 & under to set a fitness goal and complete a marathon at the same time! Kids who take on the challenge commit to running or walking a total of 25.3 miles between January 1st and April 18th. That’s less than 2 miles a week! On Sunday, April 19th 2020 they will join hundreds of kids at the 1STBANK Center to run the final 0.9 miles at the Mazzola Fun Run to finish their marathon. Visit the website for more details. 

Wear your favorite costume for a chance to win a prize!  Keep the Earth healthy and bring your small electronics to our free recycling table hosted by the 1STBANK Center staff.  Don't miss Colorado's premier expo with over 80 exhibitors!

9:00am- 5K Run/Walk Chip Timed Start

9:00am: 5K Run/Walk, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Awards Ceremony

9:00am: 5K Run/Walk Team Awards Ceremony

10:20am: All Kids' Races-All Ages- Staggered Start

10:20am: All Kids' Races Awards Ceremony

10:45am: Final Prizes and Partner Recognition

11:10am: Performances

12noon: Clean up party

Course Information:

FAST 5K course in Broomfield around 1STBANK CENTER.  Runners of all levels can improve their times. Perfect course for the entire family. Stroller and wheelchair friendly!  USATF certified, BolderBoulder qualifer, and chip timed.  Finish line is inside the arena of the 1STBANK Center with jumbotron!

5K Prize Money, Medals, and Gifts!

Overall Male & Female win $150

2nd Place Overall Male & Female win $100

3rd Place Overall Male & Female win $50

Top Team (4 people with combined fastest time) win $200 for the nonprofit of their choice

School with the highest number of students who complete 5K receives $250 and trophy

The first three age group finishers (male & female) in the following categories: 8 & Under, 9-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over

Firefighters Challenge Award: Fire department with the highest number of people (includes family members) who complete the 5K

Police Challenge Award:  Police department with the highest number of people (includes family members) who complete the 5K 

Mazzola's Miracle Fun Run Medals and Prizes:  The first three overall boys and girls               

Diaper Dash and Buzz:  Ribbons for kids

Registration Fees:

Adult: $40, before 1/1/20, $45 before 4/18/2020 and $50 Race Day

Kids 14 & Under: $20 through 4/18/2020, $25 on Race Day

Kids Marathon Challenge Finishers: $15 with T-shirt, medal and bib

5K Registration includes post race hot breakfast provided by Snooze, an A.M Eatery, swag, expo, and tech shirt.  Kids 10 and under get cool cape instead of shirt.

Mazzola Miracle Fun Run/Walk Fees:  FREE or $10 with Tshirt
