_ The 2019 Evie's Run for Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness:

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, and HCHS FBLA honors this by hosting Evie's Run for Pregnancy and Infant Loss, a 5K fundraiser. We will be giving ALL proceeds to First Candle and The March of Dimes. Both organizations help with research, awareness, and grief and bereavement for families affected by this horrible tragedy.
This race is in memory of Evie List, daughter of HCHS Business Ed teacher Bray List and her husband David. It's estimated that 3,500 deaths per year in the US are attributed to SUID (Sudden Unexplained Infant Deaths) and that approximately 1 in 5 women experience a miscarriage. Also, one in every 160 pregnancies end in a stillbirth. We believe this is a way for our babies to live on and make a difference in the lives and families of other children. Please consider running with us, or providing donations. We want every dollar we can get to donate and prevent another family from having to go through this tragedy

Event details and schedule

COURSE: The course will begin at the High School track and run through the Fine Arts Center/High School parking lot as we wind our way to Hartwell Recreation Department. From there, the course will turn back toward the High School before finishing by running around the High School track.

AGE GROUPS: MALE AND FEMALE 15 & under, 16-30, 31-45, 46-60, 61 and over.

5K AWARDS: First place male & female overall, top male and female place in each age group (overall winners excluded from age group awards), top youngest and top oldest (All winners must be registered runners).

REGISTRATION: Registration fees: $20.00 registered by 09/30/19 (No t-shirt $15.00). After 09/30/16 and through race day: $25.00 (t-shirt availability not guaranteed). Family Rate: $60.00 (with t-shirt), $45.00 (no t-shirt), limit 4 per family. Must register by 09/28/19 to receive a family rate. Family rates are not available on race day.

Race day registration and number pick up opens at 7:30 a.m. T-shirts guaranteed to runners that register by 09/30/19 and as available on race day.
