Project SEARCH is a high school transition to work program for students with disabilities that takes place entirely at the workplace (Effingham Health System). The goal for each student in this program is competitive employment. The program provides real life work experiences combined with training in employability and independent living skills to help young adults with significant disabilities make successful transitions from school to productive adult life.
A portion of the money raised at this event will be donated to the Effingham County Navigator Team, a parent led support group for families of individuals with disabilities. The remaining money will be used to support the Project SEARCH program.
Cost: $25 online preregistration, $30 race day registration (cash or check only)
Additional information: The course is not paved. It is a trail though Honey Ridge Agricenter. Strollers are welcome; however, they may be difficult to maneuver through uneven terrain. There will be plenty of parking on site. All registrations after December 11th will not be guaranteed a t-shirt. This is a fun run, so times are unofficial.
