The Jack Settles Deerfly Stomp is a 5Kish run through Grand Mere State Park. Stompers are supplied a Tred-Not Deerfly Patch that is placed (stuck via double side stickiness of the patch) on the back of their hat. Deerflies naturally congregate near the back of a person’s head & are stuck onto said patch. The winner of the Jack Settles Deerfly Stomp is the Stomper who captures the most deerflies on their patch. Yes, really. It\'s a REALLY fun, beautiful run. The Deerfly Patch keeps you from being bit...by the deerflies. Ticks & mosquitos? We\'ll have bugspray for that. You WILL have BIG fun. The Jack Settles Deerfly Stomp is held in honor of my dad, Jack Settles, who died from Alzheimer’s disease in 2013. All proceeds of the Jack Settles Deerfly Stomp go to the Alzheimer’s Association.

5Kish run through Grand Mere State Park. The Stomp starts at North Lake Park, 3600 Grand Mere Rd, Stevensville, MI, 49127.
Directions:
I-94, Exit 22. Go west on Grand Mere Rd (AKA John Beers Rd). North Lake Park will be on the right (north), as the road turns to dirt.
