Race with us this summer! TimberKids Triathlon is a fun race for age 6-14 kids of swimming, biking and running. We have 3 different choices of races this year depending on your age and experience.
Dip & Dash Distance Race is for age 6-14 and consists of a swim of one length of the pool (25yds) (life jackets are fine!), , a 400 yd run-once around the Middle School, and a 1 mile bike ride-1 lap around RJEMS grounds.
Full Triathlon for Kids 6-10 will swim 100 yds RJEMS pool, bike 1 mile, and run 400 yds.
Full Triathlon for Kids 11-14 will swim 200 yds, bike 2 miles, and run 800 yds. Racers will start in heats to prevent overcrowding in the pool. A lifeguard will be guarding the pool, and volunteers will supervise the race.
Snacks and water will be provided at the finish.
Children should be able to swim 25 yds. without stopping (Dip and Dashers can wear life jackets and stop as needed to rest on the wall, bottom, or lane line).
For ages 6-14 years.
Racers provide their own bike and helmet, swim suit and goggles (if needed) and life jacket (if needed).
Further directions and a course map will be sent by e-mail after registration. Locker room space is available for changing before the race.
All transitions will take place at the RJE Middle School.
Registration includes free t-shirt if made by June 25. Enter your T-shirt size upon registration. Entry fees are a major fundraiser for keeping the pool open in the summer.
