_ The 5th Annual Chasing Excellence 5K:
The Longhorn Athletic Training Student Association (LATSA) is holding the fifth annual Chasing Excellence 5K on April 28, 2019, benefiting the Christine M. “Tina” Bonci Endowed Excellence Fund, which was established in memory of Tina Bonci. Funds from the Bonci Endowment are used to support students in the UT Athletic Training Program.
For over 28 years Tina devoted her time to student-athletes at UT, and served as the Associate Athletics Director and Co-Director of the Sports Medicine Program. She was a pioneer in the field of sports medicine, and in 2010 was inducted into UT’s Athletics Hall of Honor. Tina passed away four years ago after a long battle with cancer complicated by type I diabetes. LATSA is committed to upholding Tina Bonci’s legacy and supporting athletic training students through the Bonci Endowment in Tina’s memory.
