_ The 2019 Gears and Gables: A Ride for Housing:
Rutherford Housing Partnership presents the 2018 Gears & Gables ride for housing. The route includes a 24-mile, 41-mile or 62-mile ride through some of the most scenic views in Rutherford County, located in the Blue Ridge Foothills.

All proceeds benefit Rutherford Housing Partnership and its mission to provide urgent repairs to the homes of low-income homeowners to alleviate threats to health and safety in their homes.
Event details and schedule
Gears and Gables is a cycling event done in conjunction with Rutherfordton's annual MayFest street fair.
The ride will begin at 8:00am sharp. Registration will begin at the blue tent in front of First Baptist Church (246 N Main Street, Rutherfordton, NC 28139) around 7:15. Please arrive before 8:00am to sign in and pick up your registration packet (which will include your t-shirt).
There is free public parking all along the side streets of downtown Rutherfordton. Please call 828-248-3431 or email [email protected] if you have specific questions about parking.
When you finish the ride, we have a post-ride meal for riders located inside the church.
