2019 Race to End Racism 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk: This 5K run/1 mile walk starts at Magic Island, West Side of Charleston, WV at 9am on Saturday, April 27,2019. Participants travel along Kanawha Boulevard for a mile and runners continue on Florida Street, along First Avenue, up Stockton Street, down Third Avenue, along Grant Street, through the Luna Park Historic District to Hall Street, over to Monongalia Street, to Tennessee Avenue back to the starting point on Magic Island.

At YWCA Charleston we are dedicated to our mission: eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Our programs and services focus on child development, domestic violence services, senior support, homeless services and the elimination of racism.

Directions:

The 3rd annual YWCA Race to End Racism, presented by TransCanada Corporation, is a 5K Run/1 Mile Walk on Charleston’s West Side on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Last year was our biggest year yet, with 871 individuals registered to participate. This year we hope to have even more people join us as we stand against racism!
