_ The 2019 Franklin County Century Breast Cancer Ride:
Bring your bicycles and ride to support women in Franklin County diagnosed with Breast Cancer! Please note that this is a New Location. Scotland Community Center in front of Scotland Elementary School. The mass start is back! Only Full Century riders may show & go. All others must participate in the mass start at 8am sharp. 5 routes are available 13, 26, 42, 62 and 100 miles fully supported by SAG vehicles until 4pm. Riders travel the perimeter of Franklin County on very scenic country roads with rolling hills and limited traffic. The 100 mile route has a 5 mile climb to the top of "Big Flat" with an amazing descent!
There are 5 fully stocked rest stops. Several with their own special theme. Enjoy lunch at the finish until 3pm. Your wristband serves as your meal ticket at the end. Chicken BBQ!
Event details and schedule
Mechanical supprt is available at the start.
Rest Stops are staffed with Registered Nurses ready to provide medical support.
Route is marked with Pink Breast Cancer Ribbons.
SAG support is available until 4pm.
You have the option to bail out at 62 miles (Scotland Community Center Rest Stop) if you are just too tired to go on or won't make it back by 4pm.
Lunch is provided at the Scotland Community Center Stop.
100% of thee proceeds of this event are donated to Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance and the Rhonda Brake Shreiner Womens Center. Both provide services and care to women diagnosed with breast cancer.
