The 10th Annual Bartow Blarney Triathlon is "Polk County's Oldest Triathlon" and provides unmatched value and fun. This spectacular event with an amazing finish line atmosphere and post-race party are top of the line! This is a perfect beginners race with a pool swim and flat, fast course. All participants receive a long sleeve t-shirt, finisher medal, custom glassware, awards eligibility, and a full breakfast! Cost to participate cannot be matched at $40 ($30 military rate). 400m pool swim- time trial start; normally wetsuit legal with water temp from 68-71 degrees, 12 mile bike- flat and fast through beautiful scenery south of Bartow, Fl.
5k run- through the picturesque Floral Lakes Community where many residents cheer on the runners!
For the "runners only" the stand alone 5k race/entry is only $15 for all of the same perks...!
Course Information:
Swim:
• The swim will be held in the Sam Griner Pool.
• The Pool is not heated.
• Wet suits will be permitted if water temperature is 78 degrees or lower as stated in the USA Triathlon Competitive Rules.
Bike:
• The bike will start and end at the Civic Center.
• The route will take participants through shady residential neighborhoods, historic Bartow, and phosphate mining country south of town.
Run:
• The 5K run will start and end at the Civic Center.
• Most of the run will take place in the Floral Lakes Senior Community.
