_ The 2019 Mankato Gran Fondo and Solstice Ride:
This is a fully support road bike ride that takes place on the Saturday following summer solstice. The race starts and ends downtown Mankato, MN.
Mankato Lodge #12 is proud to bring to the Mankato area a fully supported bike event. As we challenge and motivate riders early in the season, we aim to raise funds to restore and maintain the oldest building downtown, Mankato Masonic Temple, and kick start our new charity effort, Bikes for Books.
Bikes for Books will be a program that aims to reward elementary school students with bikes for efforts of reading throughout the school year. Fomenting healthy minds and bodies.
The event is to take place on the Saturday following summer solstice.
We plan to have three routes that are fully supported and chip timed. The proposed distance are 25, 50 and 100 miles.
The event will take place in the Mankato area. The aim is to start and stop downtown Mankato.
