_ 2019 Greenwich Cup Sprint Triathlon:
The annual Greenwich Cup Triathlon is a sprint distance event.
The race is held at beautiful Greenwich Point on Long Island Sound in Old, Greenwich CT.
The distances are a 1/2 mile swim, a 15 mile bike, and a 3 mile run on road/trail.
At an average of over 600 participants yearly.
Course Information:
- This race has become a great beginners triathlon and a unique training tool for more competitive triathletes.
- Start with a half mile triangular swim course.
- Followed by a bike ride through Old Greenwich, Riverside, and Cos Cob on an open road course.
- Finish with a flat 3 mile run course over road and trail and finish up on the sand.
