YWCA York's Y-Tri is the only event permitted at Lake Redman (296 Hess Road, York, PA). JOIN US on June 23 at 7:30am, in partnership with White Rose Credit Union. The event includes a 500-yard open water swim, 15-mile bike race and 5K run! Experience the beauty of the area on our scenic routes. The Y-Tri is not a sanctioned event, but will follow USAT Rules.
Finishing the Y-Tri Sprint Triathlon is a feeling like no other! Participate as an individual triathlete or put together a team and share events. You can choose one, two or three events.
This event will be professionally chip timed by Racine Multisports. Searchable race results will be provided so your follower can track you on their smart phones or web devices.
Top Overall Male and Female
Top 3 individual age groups for both men and women 14–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35-39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70+
Top 1st Relay Team for each men, women and mixed.
**Safety volunteers will be stationed throughout each event.** Fire Police will be placed in key areas on the bike and run routes for traffic control. Volunteers will also be at key areas to provide directional assistance and to cheer on athletes, including in the lake on kayaks and canoes.
Swim – 500 yards enclosed open-water swim in Lake Redman. Swimmers will be set off in waves that will be determined by cap color. This is an experience like no other!
Wet Suits are permitted with water temperature 78 degrees and below. Water temperature will be provided to registered participants prior to the event.
Bike: The bike route is a scenic 15-mile rolling hill course on back roads. The rural roads are not closed to traffic. Helmets are required.
Run - The run course is a rolling hill 5K out and back.
Plenty of affordable hotels at exit 16A of route 83.
There is a large parking area on-site at the venue, however, there is only one road in and out of the venue that will be closed for the bikers and runners exiting and entering transition.
Athletes and spectators who park in the venue must stay until all participants have completed the race. The entrance road to the venue closes at 7:00 AM.
Other Parking options: Participants can drop off gear at the venue and then proceed to the Lake Redman Boat Launch (1/4 mile west of the venue) or Spartan Road parking lots (1/4 mile east of the venue) and walk back to the venue.
