_ The 2019 Scare in White Bear:
The "Scare in White Bear" 5k begins at West Park, closest to the downtown area and along
scenic Lake Ave. The race has gotten a bit of a reputation among local homeowners, who come out to cheer the best costumes. We have some competitive runners who join, but this is a really fun event for families! Enjoy the halloween decorations along the route. Torches light the path. Professional photographer in the photo booth. Truly a unique night time running event.
Be sure to join the post-race reception for performance and costume award ceremonies which will take place at Manitou Grill, in the heart of this quant downtown.
Event details and schedule
5:45 pm - Park and parking areas open
6:00 pm - Packet pickup & race day registration begins
6:30 pm - START OF KIDS' RACES
6:55 pm - Race announcements (near start line)
7:00 pm - START OF 5K WALK/RUN
8:00 pm (Approximately) - Awards ceremony at Manitou Grill
Free parking. Additional information regarding packet pick up and course updates will be provided via email on the Monday of race week.
