The Memphis in May Triathlon Weekend is a weekend of racing starting with the Memphis In May Sprint Triathlon on Saturday followed with the historic Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon Sunday. The Memphis In May Sports Expo will be held in conjunction with packet pick up and all of the festivities for the weekend.
The 36th Annual Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon returned to Edmond Orgill Park in Millington, TN in 2016. The Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon was first introduced to Edmond Orgill Park in 1991, and has had the privilege to host many dedicated triathletes over the years. With the likes of Todd Jacobs, Timothy Deboom, Julie Moss, Mike Pigg, Natasha Badmann, Michelle Jones, Andy Potts, and many other professionals, and age groupers like 3 time USA Triathlon Triathlete of the year, Kirsten Saas, who have made The Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon rich in history.
The Memphis In May Sprint Triathlon is a great sprint triathlon that consists of a 1/3 mile swim 12 mile bike, and a 3 mile run. This event is a great way to get started in the sport of triathlon with its association with the Memphis In May Olympic Triathlon and the Memphis in May triathlon Weekend. To enhance your triathlon experience and have a chance to win part of a $5,000 prize purse, you can participate in the Amateur Challenge.
