Ironwood Nature Walk
Enjoy a naturalist-guided walk on mostly-level trails in prime Sonoran Desert habitat and learn about the plants and wildlife that inhabit the area. Ages 12 and up. Free with Membership, Non-Member $5 fee. Online registration required. Tucson Mountain Park, Ironwood Picnic Area, 1500 S. Kinney Road at Hal Gras Road 85735.
Ironwood Picnic Area, 1500 Hal Gras Road
The Ironwood Picnic area is at the intersection of 1500 S. Kinney Road and 7800 W. Hal Gras Road. This location in Tucson Mountain Park is 1.5 miles south of Gates Pass Road or 3.8 miles north of Ajo Way. Drive to the cul-de-sac at the end of Picnic area - Hal Gras Road. The group will meet under the ancient Ironwood tree. There are restroom facilities but no water at this location.
