_ The 2019 Bryce Conquer the Mountain Aqua Blaze Race:

This is a fun race that combines running and some kind of watercraft as part of your race route (SUP, Inner tubing, Kayaking, or canoeing) Participants will travel 1.5 miles via canoe, kayak or SUP and then 4 miles via trails. Estimated time to finish is 1-2 hours.  We have a great course for you to run, paddle, and navigate your way around in an awesome area of the Shenandoah Valley and Lake Laura. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at check-in at the main lodge at Bryce Resort. We’ll host the race out of the Bryce Resort Shenandoah Room.  Parking will be walking distance from the race HQ at the main Bryce Lodge parking lot.

This race is designed for a beginner and adventurers and will be simple enough to learn and enjoy but challenging enough to be considered an adventure!

The morning of the race, we'll give your team a map with checkpoints and a list of "Rules of Travel." This gives you clues to checkpoints and tells you how you'll get to them--by trekking and paddling.

Soloist & teams will have 2 hours to complete the course. Once the soloist and relays have finished the paddle section sprint, jog or walk back to cross the finish line.

The Bryce Conquer the Mountain Aqua Blaze is an off-road run and paddle race. It's perfect for beginner adventures or those who want to work on their skills--you can choose how fast how hard you race and after this event, you're sure to be hooked!
