_ The 2019 Restoring Families 5K and 1K Fun Run:
Cobb County District 4 Commissioner Cupid is sponsoring the run to:
- Provide an outlet for a fun and a healthy event in January
- Focus attention on the holistic work of Family Life Restoration Center
- Provide funds to help support local families in need
- Highlight the 5 year anniversary of the Riverside EpiCenter
- Host a vision board party for families who may want to focus on the future
Family Life Restoration Center:
The organization’s motto “Restoring and Strengthening Families—One Family at a Time” is evidenced by the Center’s dedication to educating, feeding, clothing and sheltering families in need of basic necessities. Many Cobb County families have been weakened by various issues. Family Life Restoration Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring families to operating as a fully functional unit. Their services include:
- Marital and pre-marital counseling
- Workforce development
- Emergency food
- Clothing distribution
- Shelter
Event details and schedule
The race will be held at Riverside EpiCenter, and all pre- and post-race activities will be held inside their amazing facility.
The 5K course will be an out and back route on Riverside Parkway, starting and finishing at EpiCenter. The 1K will stay completely on property.
1K Fun Run starts at 830am
5K Run starts at 9am
There is plenty of free parking at the EpiCenter.
