_ The 2019 New Year’s Day 5k Hot Chocolate Run:
It’s coming back in 2019!!!
Nine degrees was not cold enough to keep over 150 fired-up runners from running their first race of the new year in 2018... and now we invite you all to do the same in 2019!
The Almost-Famous New Year's Day 5k Hot Chocolate Run is organized to help raise money for The Minds in Motion children’s museum (and also to have a ton of fun in January 1st). All proceeds from the event will go toward the museum.
The 5k will be set on the trails around The Salisbury Park and The Zoo trails close to the river. There are some roots and some rocks along the course, so be prepared. The majority of the race is composed of crushed gravel trails, creating a fast scenic race.
We will have an aid station with water and Gatorade at mile 1.5ish and we will have water and delicious hot chocolate at the end. The course will be very well marked and measured. There will be overall and age group awards. Sign up before December 1st to be guaranteed a T-Shirt.
Bring the entire family out and be ready to run, have fun and sip on some hot chocolate as we celebrate the beginning of 2018!
If you have any questions, reach out to the race director:
Trent Swanson - [email protected]
Registration information will appear here shortly and when it does sign up quickly - this is going to sell out.
HUGE MUGS to the winners!
